Compassionate Dental Care
My profession means a great deal to me. I’ve loved the idea of being a dentist since I was 13. I feel fortunate to have realized my dream. Working with many different people has taught me greater compassion and empathy, to appreciate and understand cultural differences, and each person’s unique personality. I hope I make a positive difference in others’ lives, not just as a dentist but as a person. I know positive words and encouragement go a long way.
I focus on helping each patient develop good oral health and in preventive care. I love to teach my patients and encourage them to develop healthy habits that will last the rest of their life. I particularly enjoy working with children. I love watching them grow, learning who they are, and celebrating their successes.
I love what I do and I love being part of a team where we’re all here to make children smile.
Education and Continuing Education
- Undergraduate studies, Howard University
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland School of Dentistry
- General Practice Residency, East Carolina University and Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC
I attend numerous continuing education lectures and conferences throughout the year. These courses allow me to stay on top of what is relevant and useful in dentistry. In turn, I am able to provide the best care and treatment options to my patients.
I’m an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, and the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
I grew up in Jacksonville, FL and now live in Price George’s County with my spouse and three young children. We don’t currently have any pets, but I do love dogs. My kids are a lot of work and a lot of fun. We dance a lot and enjoy a lot of activities. Our favorite family adventure is seasonal fruit and vegetable picking. When I have the time, I love to read, travel, and cook.
