Meet the Team
Judy – Dental Hygienist
I love making sure the children are happy and comfortable during their visits. I spend a lot of time teaching the children and their parents about good oral hygiene. I show them how to properly brush and floss. I also talk about developing good habits and healthy food decisions. While I clean a patient’s teeth, I encourage them to ask questions about their mouth and help them understand how everything works. I love seeing a happy, healthy smile at a recall visit!
Away from the office, I enjoy time with my husband, Jimmy, and our two boys and two girls. We also have a cat named Mackenzie and a sweet dog, Weenie. I’m the Senior Director of Mabuhay Group, a Filipino-American organization. I enjoy golf and bowling, too.
Kia – Clinical Manager
I enjoy spending my days working with children, helping eliminate any fear they might have about visiting the dentist. Everyone here feels the same way: we want our patients to look forward to their visits and know this is a safe, fun place. I review a patient’s treatment plan and assist the doctors with non-intravenous conscious sedation dental procedures. Sitting chairside, I support the doctor while talking with our patient and making sure they’re relaxed and comfy.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Ralph, for more than 15 years. We have two children, Kirell and Ralph IV.
Mayra – Regional Office Manager
I enjoy helping parents and patients through their treatment. Seeing the happiness on both the child’s face, and the parent’s, makes me happy. I’m most often found working at the front desk, training staff, and answering patient and parent questions. I help out in the back, assisting our hygienists and doctors, when needed. It’s important to all of us that each patient has a positive experience while here and I will do what’s needed to make that happen.
My husband’s name is Saul. I have three children: Jr., Brian, and Yamilet. We also have two spoiled Rottweilers, Mickey and Minnie. Our family loves going to the beach.
Mulu – Dental Hygienist
I love helping my patients attain and keep good oral health, preventing dental disease and keeping their smiles looking great. Each patient has their own unique dental needs. By focusing on their situation, I’m able to teach the patient and their parent the best home hygiene practices. I also teach about nutrition and how to establish good habits that will last a lifetime. I love seeing a patient’s happy, healthy smile when they come back; I know they’re off to a great start!
I’ve been happily married since 2008 and have two wonderful children. I love my work and serving our community.
Emely – Receptionist
I’m excited to be a part of the Smiles Pediatric Dental Care team! You’ll find me at the front desk, where I’ll schedule your appointments, check you in for your current visit, and verify your insurance. While I may be new to working in the office, this was my own “dental home” while I was growing up, so everyone here is really like family. I’m so excited to be an official member of the team, and look forward to seeing your child smile!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Diego. We like to spend time outdoors playing basketball and soccer. You might also catch us watching a good movie!
